How many competitions will be held at NACES 2025? | A total of nine (9) competitions will be held in total, comprising four online competitions, three physical competitions, and two competitions for secondary and pre-university students. |
When is the next FAQ or briefing session for NACES 2025? | The next FAQ or briefing session is scheduled on 18th October 2025. Participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions directly to the respective Person-in-Charge (PIC) for each competition category. |

What is the deadline for NACES applications? | The application deadline for NACES 2025 is 10th October 2025. Be sure to submit your application before the deadline to confirm your participation. Participants will be informed if there are any updates or changes regarding the application process. |
When will the NACES 2025 event be held? | NACES 2025 will take place on 13th and 14th December 2025 which will be held at the Lecture Hall Complex, USM Engineering Campus. |
What prizes are available for participants at NACES? | The university with the highest total points across all competitions may receive a rotating trophy and certificates from IChemE. Additionally, the top 3 winners for each competition will be awarded cash prizes. |
How will participants of NACES be contacted? | Participants will be added to a WhatsApp group after finalization. This group will serve as the platform for sharing important details. |
Are there any restrictions on the research industry focus for NACES submissions? | Submissions must focus on the crucial role of chemical engineering in promoting sustainable innovations within the microelectronics industry, emphasizing eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient technologies, and innovative recycling processes to reduce microelectronic waste. |
Who will serve as judges and speakers for NACES? | The judges will include university lecturers and engineers from the Chemical Engineering industry. |
How can non-IChemE members apply for membership to participate in NACES? | Participants will be added to a WhatsApp group after finalization. This group will serve as the platform for sharing important details. |
Are there any restrictions on the research industry focus for NACES submissions? | Non-IChemE members can apply through the IChemE website (https://www.icheme.org/). Alternatively, the NACES committee will assist with membership applications during the event. |
When will the payment for NACES participation be collected? | Payment will be collected after the registration process. Please refer to the registration guidelines for more information. |
Will the judging panel be announced before the competition? | Yes, the list of judges will be provided in the event booklet, which will be uploaded to the website before the competition. |
How will participants receive updates? | WhatsApp groups will be created for all participants after the final list is confirmed. Competition and event updates will be shared through this group. |
